Airplane Altimeter Desk Clock - Black

Based on altimeters from WWII aircraft, with its stout brass screws and rugged shape, this clock brings fighter pilot precision to the desktop. Made of cast, machined aluminum with brass accents, its authentic dial houses the remnants of a subdial that marked altitude per thousand feet, while the main hands marked altitude per ten and hundred feet. The black clock face, which is framed with a brass rim, measures 3" in diameter. The clock casing measures 5-1/2" high x 4-1/2" wide x 4" deep. (Item #2558)

An homage to Alberto Santos-Dumont, aviation pioneer and designer of the first aluminum propeller in 1906, the eccentric Spinner Table Clock features a vintage dial housed in the center hub section of a 1930's airscrew. The clock is complete with a working seconds hand and is displayed on a matte black iron base. The antiqued tan clock face, which is framed with a brass rim, measures 3" in diameter. The aluminum spinner clock measures 14-3/4" wide x 6-3/4" high x 2-1/2" deep. (Item #2560)
